Power Station Reality Modelling

Terra Drone was engaged to undertake internal 3D Reality Modelling of over twenty buildings located within a Power Station located on a mine site in Western Australia.

The 3D Modelling project was undertaken for the purposes of photo-realistic visualisation and navigation around the assets either on a desktop computer or via virtual reality goggles. This allows the client to accurately visualise the assets without having to visit the site. The user cases include training, inductions, planning, and measurement.

Each scan usually only takes 1-2 hours with the model processing occurring within as little as 24 hours.

The client uses an online platform to view the models and has the ability to embed documentation and videos, annotate and share within their team or to external parties such as contractors.

Making 3D models available to relevant parties saves our client hundreds of thousands of dollars annually in site visits, commonly referred to as tourist visits.
